A Tamil film gets prescribed in German University
sure it is a great honor when a film (story) or the songs from a film gets prescribed for future generations in their educational syllabi. Some time back, the song 'Ovvoru pookalume' from the film Autograph found its way into the study material in one of the prestigious universities of Tamil Nadu. Close on heels of this Paa.Vijay's poetry, Bommalaatam, the film directed by Bharathi Raja is slated to become a text book in a German University. |
Bommalaatam, a bilingual made in Tamil and Hindi is about a director and a heroine told in a very different manner. It has Arjun, Nana Patekar, Kajal Agarwal, Manivannan and Ranjitha. In the recently held German film festival, the Hindi version of Bommalaatam, was screened which was viewed by the film researchers who opined that the screen play and presentation of the film were par excellence and selected this story as a text book in the University of Germany.
