Priyanka Chopra follows Kamal

Social responsibility is something which has caught up with all strata of society. Awareness among people on all the current pressing issues is on the rise, thanks to media. And when it comes to service to society, people from Kollywood have always exhibited a cheerful readiness with their diverse activities comprising of blood donation camps, eye donations, helping the underprivileged etc.

Many artists from the industry have signed up for eye donations. But if sources are to be believed Kamal Haasan is the only star who has signed for complete donation of all his organs to humanity. This indeed is an act which needs commendable appreciation. Now, following him, Bollywood actress and former Miss World Priyanka Chopra who was paired with Vijay in Thamizhan has pledged to donate her organs at a function organized by the Army Medical Corps for Indian National Association for Study of Liver (INSAL). Speaking on the occasion, the pretty actress said, “I am entertaining people through films now and I want to be of some help to them even after my death. That’s why I have decided to donate my organs. She also added that she realized the importance of organ donation when her father was indisposed.
